Raw dog food FAQs: delivery, collection & feeding

We deliver frozen raw food in our temperature-controlled van every Monday and Thursday across BH1–BH18, BH21–BH25, BH31 and DT11 postcodes. We also offer frozen courier delivery to eligible UK mainland postcodes. Scottish and remote-area delivery may need advance confirmation of courier coverage and charges. Check the options at checkout, and contact us before ordering to Scotland while we verify our APC tariff.

Local deliveries run every Monday and Thursday between 8:00am and 8:00pm; order by 11:59pm the previous day. On delivery day we email you a 30-minute estimated arrival window, followed by a confirmation email once your food is delivered. Nationwide orders placed before 3pm Monday–Thursday are normally dispatched that day. We do not dispatch Friday–Sunday; delivery usually takes 24–48 hours after dispatch, excluding weekends and bank holidays, but courier delays can occur.

Yes. Select free collection from Moordown or Blandford at checkout. There is no minimum collection order. We email you when your order is ready; please collect during the selected store's opening hours.

There is a £32 minimum for local and nationwide deliveries, based on the normal merchandise value before discounts and excluding shipping. Local Dorset delivery is £3.49 and nationwide frozen courier delivery starts from £7.99; larger orders may cost more. Collection at either shop is free with no minimum.

Every dog has different dietary requirements, so it is best to introduce raw dog food gradually. Start by replacing a small amount of your dog's current food with a suitable complete raw food, then slowly increase the raw portion over approximately 7–10 days.

Monitor your dog's appetite, stools and general wellbeing during the transition. If their stools become loose, slow the transition and reduce the amount of raw food temporarily before increasing it again more gradually.

The amount of raw food your pet needs depends on their weight, age, activity level, and individual metabolism. As a general guideline, dogs should be fed 2-3% of their ideal body weight daily. For puppies and highly active dogs, you might need to adjust the portion size. Our team can help you determine the right amount for your pet's specific needs.

Place your raw dog food in the freezer as soon as possible after delivery or collection. Defrost the required amount in the fridge in its sealed packaging and follow the manufacturer's storage instructions. Keep raw pet food separate from human food and wash your hands, utensils, surfaces and feeding bowls thoroughly after handling it.

In preparation for mealtime, place the package in the fridge to defrost, preferably overnight. Defrosting times may vary depending on fridge temperature settings. Defrosting at room temperature is not recommended.

Never microwave to defrost, and do not cook. Make sure you clean your pet's food and water bowls after every meal.
