Insights
One of the most common reasons people put off switching to raw feeding is the logistics. Where do you get it? How do you store it? What if you run out? Home delivery of frozen raw dog food solves most of these problems, and it is simpler than many people expect.
How Frozen Raw Dog Food Delivery Works
Raw dog food is packed frozen and delivered in insulated packaging designed to keep it frozen throughout transit. When your order arrives, you transfer it straight to your freezer. The food stays frozen during delivery, so there is no compromise on quality or safety.
At Raw Dogs Dorset, we offer nationwide delivery across the UK. Orders are packed carefully to arrive in good condition, and we use packaging that keeps the food at the right temperature for the journey.
Why Home Delivery Makes Raw Feeding Easier
No need to find a local supplier
Not everyone lives near a pet shop or farm that stocks quality raw dog food. Home delivery means you can access a full range of proteins and products regardless of where you are in the country.
Buy in bulk and save trips
Because raw food keeps well in the freezer, you can order a good supply at once and not have to think about it for weeks. Many of our customers order monthly and keep a well-stocked freezer, which makes daily feeding completely hassle-free.
More choice
A local shop might stock a limited range. Ordering online gives you access to a wider variety of proteins, formats and products, which is useful when you want to rotate proteins or try something new. Browse our full range of complete raw meals and natural treats and chews.
How Much Freezer Space Do You Need?
This depends on the size of your dog and how often you want to order. As a rough guide, a 20kg dog eating around 400g a day will get through approximately 12kg of food per month. A standard chest freezer or a decent-sized upright freezer drawer is usually enough for most households with one or two dogs.
If you are not sure how much to order, our portion guide will help you work out your dog's daily requirements, and you can order accordingly.
Collection Is Also Available
If you are local to us, you are welcome to collect from our sites in Moordown and Blandford. This is a good option if you want to pick up a smaller amount more regularly, or if you want to have a chat about what might suit your dog best.
